Our Programs
The STEM Enrichment Academy program for Year 9 girls is a program of enrichment days, conferences and teacher development developed from a Department of Industry and Science and a Women in STEM and Entrepreneurship (WiSE) grant and support from Flinders University.

01
One Day Student Workshops
We aim to inspire Year 9 girls to explore STEM topics through monthly skill enrichment workshops that include mentorship by female STEM role models, intensive hands-on STEM workshops, and lab tours. Our workshops allow students to perform hands-on experiments in science, computing, mathematics, chemistry, and engineering topics at Flinders University facilities.
02
Three Day Enrichment Conference
An extended version of the one day workshops, our 3-day conference allows students to perform a series of hands-on STEM workshops, mentorship by scientists, role model talks, and industry immersion tours.

03

Professional Development for Teachers
We will be running free teacher professional development programs on STEM topics. These programs will assist the teaching of STEM topics using hands-on learning resources. Resources will be created online as well as in print for teachers of all backgrounds and will be made available to them. Our workshop will be linked to the curriculum so that the teachers can implement the topics in their classrooms.
04
Physics Skills Enhancement Microcredential Course
We are offering South Australia's first Physics Skills Enhancement Microcredential. This course is open to everyone, including teachers with or without a physics background. The course is designed to provide foundational physics knowledge in future-focussed physics topics. One of the key component of the course is teaching physics using hands-on learning resources.
We are offering 35 fee-waiver places for registered teachers in Australia. Additionally, interstate participants will be supported with travel and accommodation allowances. Please click on the link to download the flyer.
